I think also like the general perception that mitski is discussing like Womanhood and not the intersection of race and womanhood is like interesting like obviously it’s a good thing that woc aren’t being racially pidgeonholed but like. just because a mitski song isn’t overtly discussing race it doesn’t mean the experiences she’s talking about aren’t affected by race. like talking about not being beautiful or feeling like a failed woman…as a mixed Asian woman those things r all affected by race for me and almost certain are for her also. like idk I feel like there’s a lot of discussion about what mitski says about womanhood and kind of the assumption that her music can be seamlessly translated to white womanhood and it’s like. yes and no.
I was going to draw something else from the episode, but caduceus is so dang iconic I can’t not draw this
[id: the image is of caduceus, he is a firbolg with grey fur/skin with pink poofy hair that is blowing in the wind. He is sitting legs crossed wth four candles, a bowl, and some lit incense around him. He is wearing a light green tunic and dark greenish blue pants. His eyes are closed and he looks peaceful. The candles are burning brightly with a vaguely pink glow and there are star like dots all around him. There is a faint shadow of what could be the crows nest around him. End Id ]
From the deepest forests of Faerun, the firbolg woman Wisteria (played by my mother) left her tribe to refine her druidic knowledge and to save a rare plant from extinction. Despite her being an ecologist, she didn’t hesitate when she insta-killed a goblin with Ice Knife. Don’t mess with this giant woman.
